Our Story
When John and Dina Adamson opened a small tile shop in South Pasadena with their son Thano in 1984, they had no idea it would grow into the company Mission Tile West is today. Back then, the showroom offered a modest selection of handmade Mexican tile from Thano’s Uncle Tony. A few years later, in 1997, Thano’s sister Tisa joined as a creative designer, adding her eye for design to the family business
As the company expanded, so did the Adamson family. Thano’s wife Kathy became a vital part of the business, and their four sons grew up immersed in the world of tile—many of them working in the showroom from a young age. Today, George, one of those sons, is proudly leading Mission Tile West into a new chapter, continuing the legacy his parents began.
