5 Places to Start When You Want to Remodel Your Bathroom

If you’re interested in remodeling your bathroom but you’re just not sure where to start or what would work best for your home, Mission Tile West has you covered. Learn about five places to start your decorating process and then reach out to us at 626-799-4595 for our help.

  1. Get out of the box
  2. When you’re thinking of your bathroom remodel, you do want to consider the trends and what design experts suggest. However, you only want to take these as suggestions – not directions. If you get too stuck thinking that there’s one material you must use, or one color you can’t use, then you could miss out on some truly lovely and unique options. For example, Mission Tile West offers some unique tiles that may not fit in with what some people think of when they think of bathroom tile. Yet these are high quality tiles that look incredible in any room.

  3. Consider a shower or bath upgrade
  4. One of the first things to do is to look at your shower or bath and ask yourself if it’s still working for your needs. Is it large enough? Does it offer you both the luxury and functionality you need? If the answer is “no” then why not do something about it? You can replace a shower with a gorgeous clawfoot bathtub, or rip out your bathtub and install a luxurious shower. It’s your bathroom and you call the shots.

  5. Make sure you’re including as much vanity space as possible
  6. Everyone has different taste in décor but you’d be hard pressed to find someone who thinks that a cluttered bathroom looks elegant or put together. Clutter is often caused by the homeowner not having anywhere to put things, and they often don’t have anywhere to put things because they think their bathroom is too small for a vanity. The reality is that vanities come in all shapes and sizes. Just about any bathroom can fit at least a small one.

  7. Take storage where you can get it
  8. The vanity is often the main storage spot in a bathroom but it’s not the only option. Once again, get out of the box and think creatively. Try to find every opportunity you can to fit in as much useful storage as you can – just be sure you’re not giving up valuable floor and elbow room to do so. For example, make sure your corners are being utilized, or consider a narrow, recessed cabinet along a short wall.

  9. Get the advice of the professionals
  10. When you hire Mission Tile West to handle your bathroom remodel, you can count on the fact that you’re not our first client.
